V1 VoIP Allows Setting Spend Limits on Calls

V1 VoIP allows you to set a daily spend alert on your account. This allows you to set a maximum cost to you of daily calls, providing you with peace of mind that the first you know of problems with your account won’t be when you receive a large phone bill.

In recent months members of ITSPA (the industry body representing VoIP providers) have seen a large increase in incidents of VoIP fraud.

Why Set a Spend Limit

By setting a daily spend alert on your account, you set a maximum cost to you of daily calls, providing you with peace of mind that the first you know of problems with your account won’t be when you receive a large phone bill.

V1 VoIP offers the option to set max daily limits on any connection’s outbound calling. Similar to destination rate limits, by setting spend limits on oubound calls it prevents one compromised connection or one expensive call from running up too large a bill.

If you attempt to make a call and you have already reached your daily spend limit you will hear a message saying that your outbound call has been blocked.
